Hansel and Gretel Pantomime - A Great Hit!

Artemis Arts partnered with C21, a local theatre company to put on what we hope is the first of many pantomimes across Belfast. This is part of Artemis Arts mission to make the arts available for all, particulalry for those who don't normally go to the theatre. It was a top quality performance, in exceptional facilities at a great value price!

The pantomime 'Hansel and Gretel' - written and directed by Peter Quigley and produced by Stephen Kelly, was attended by over 2,500 people, who shouted, screamed, booed and laughed there way through the story of the two starving children, enticed by a wicked witch in disguise into her sweety home. The exciting production was held at the Theatre at the Belfast Model School for Girls in Dunowen Gardens in North Belfast.

Schools attended during the day, and the community came in for a Friday evening and a Saturday matinee show. The audience particulalry enjoyed joining in with 'Alf Elf' in singing the 'Jelly Song'

Don't miss out your chance to come along next year and watch 'Little Red Riding Hood' also by C21. See you then!
